Our Steel Drum Band brought the joy with a performance of "Don't Worry, Be Happy," a popular song by Bobby McFerrin. They reminded us that, even in the face of adversity and struggle, we must always stay positive and optimistic. Their upbeat rhythms brought smiles to the audience, showing us the power of music to lift spirits and spread hope.

Our kindergartners and 1st graders performed a song and skit in honor of Madam C.J. Walker! They shared how Walker became the first self-made female millionaire in the United States, building a successful hair care line with products catered to Black hair. Her groundbreaking work and entrepreneurship continue to inspire young minds today.

Our elementary students brought Mary McLeod Bethune's legacy to life on stage! Despite facing doubt and adversity, she became one of the most influential activists, educators, and humanitarians. Her remarkable accomplishments, like founding a school for African American girls, continue to inspire generations.

At Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School, our young performers brought history to life through dance at the Black History Program! Every step, every movement reflected the strength and beauty of Black culture, paying tribute to those who paved the way. Their energy and dedication were truly inspiring! We are so proud of them for using their talents to celebrate our heritage.

The students at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary had a tooth-rific time at the Puppet Show in honor of Children's Dental Health Month. The puppets took a trip to the dentist for a routine check-up, showing our little learners that there’s nothing to fear—just lots to smile about! With giggles and grins, the kids learned the importance of brushing, flossing, and regular check-ups. Special thanks to Shawn Skinner and the Columbia Marionette Theatre for the amazing show!

Thank you Mrs. Lisa for coming to Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School to visit some of our classrooms! Lisa walked our students through the procedures of a dentist appointment to help the kids become more familiar with tools and less anxious about visits. She also demonstrated how to properly brush your teeth with the help of her special friend, Mr. Monkey. We are grateful for our partnership with Smiles for a Lifetime and we appreciate their help in spreading dental health awareness!

The elementary students performed "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" as a finale to their Winter Program. There were special guests such as Principal Leath, school teachers, and even Santa Claus! Not only was it entertaining, but it also showed why bullying is never okay, even if someone is different than you. The 12 Days of Festive Flair is all about spreading kindness and positivity. #12DaysofFestiveFlair #RudolphtheRedNoseReindeer #WinterProgram

The 12 Days of Festive Flair is meant to spread holiday magic and joy to everyone, even those outside of our district. The Winter Program at our Elementary School was so good it would get any Scrooge into the holiday spirit. Our kindergarteners performed a skit and danced to "Marshmallows and Hot Cocoa". We also heard an upbeat performance of "Jingle Bells" from our 1st and 2nd graders. #12DaysofChristmasFlair #HolidayClassics #WinterProgram

We are halfway through the 12 Days of Festive Flair, but we are just getting started! Our students at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School performed holiday classics like "Twas The Night Before Christmas" and "Must Be Santa Claus". Stay tuned for more content from our Winter Program. #12DaysofFestiveFlair #HolidayClassics #WinterProgram

Our third grade students were excited to use their new dictionaries and received guidance from the Hampton County Rotary Club and their teachers. This will expand our scholars vocabulary which will directly improve their reading and writing skills.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Hampton County who presented all our third grade students with dictionaries! We are so grateful for their generosity and kindness, as it provides our scholars with the necessary tools to be successful.
