We also have some staff, teachers, and parents we want to recognize for their roles in our scholars' success. The panelists answered questions from our aspiring students, reminding them of the strong support system and resources available right here in Allendale. Though each panelist's journey was unique, they all share the same grit and ambition. Mr. Johnson emphasized that being raised in Allendale County builds resilience and strength.

As part of our week-long Black History Month Celebration, we held a panel featuring several Black entrepreneurs who provided our students with insight and wisdom. Each of the guests were alumni of Allendale-Fairfax and spoke on how the community fostered their growth and success. Special thanks to Mattie Davis-Ginn, Grace Holmes, David Johnson, Ahmad Mikell, and Shuchemia Williams for participating in the panel and speaking to our students.

Our AFMHS Chorus Donut Fundraiser is almost over! Help our choral students hit the high notes in New York by purchasing a box of doughnuts from a chorus student. All proceeds will go towards a trip to New York in 2026. We appreciate any contribution you can make, as we want to make this happen for our dedicated and skilled choir. Krispy Kreme will deliver orders on March 3, 2025. There are only two days left to place your orders, so please join our mission to send our chorus to New York! #TogetherWeCanDoThis

Join us for our February Community/Board Meeting on Monday, February 24th in the AFHS Cafeteria. We will be discussing the results of our 2025-2026 Calendar Survey, updates on our capital project, and mid-year assessment data. We will also be celebrating our Staff and Students of the Month. Come out to support our district as we move towards a brighter future!

Superintendent Dr. Vallerie Cave led a training for paraeducators with the help of Dr. Miller. They provided our paraeducators with the tools and knowledge to thrive in their roles. Focusing on responsibilities, management, and the importance of supporting both teachers and students, the session reinforced how crucial their work is to our school community. This collaboration is key to student success!

Our Lady Tigers are traveling to Carvers Bay High School tonight for the First Round of Playoffs and we couldn't be more proud! They've worked hard all season for this moment and now it’s time to ball out. Whether you’re in the crowd or cheering from home, let’s make sure they feel the love and support from their Tiger Family!

Thank you to Swell City Capital for restocking our Just In Case Closets across the district! These closets are filled with new supplies, clothing, and essential items for students who may need a little extra support. If you or someone you know could use these resources, they’re here for you—no questions asked. We want to ensure every student has what they need to thrive in the classroom!

To our February stars—thank you for everything you do! 🌟 Your hard work and positive energy inspire us all, and we couldn’t do it without you. We’re sending you all the love (and virtual cake 🎂) as you celebrate another year of greatness. Enjoy your special day!

Treat yourself while supporting our talented choral students! There's only one week left to purchase your donuts! See a chorus student to purchase a dozen for $16 or a gift certificate for any amount you choose. Donuts will be delivered on March 3rd and will help us with transportation and housing. We appreciate every sale because each purchase brings them closer to an unforgettable trip to New York in 2026. Help us make it to the big city by funding the effort! #TogetherWeCanDoThis

Mr. Lewis has been coaching at the varsity level for 14 years and he is committed to helping students grow both on and off the field. He is a lifelong learner who believes in building strong relationships and fostering a positive team culture. Lewis is guided by his personal motto,"People helping other people." His ultimate goal at Allendale-Fairfax is to love and support his players unconditionally, while shaping them into successful, contributing members of society.

Our Varsity Boys have officially qualified for the first round of playoffs, and the match is at 6:30 PM in the AFHS gymnasium. We will be facing off against the Hannah Pamplico Raiders! Dear Allendale Community of Learners,
We want to bring an important internet safety issue to your attention. A deceptive practice known as website impersonation or domain spoofing is being used by third parties to create look-alike websites with misleading domain names. Unfortunately, we recently discovered that our district has been a victim of this scheme.
Rest assured, we have already reported this issue to our domain registrar, who will review and take down the fraudulent page. Please be aware that allendalefes.com is NOT a website created, managed, or verified by our district. Our official district and school websites only end in "k12.sc.us." If you ever come across a website claiming to be ours but with a different ending, please proceed with caution.
To help protect yourself and our community from website impersonation, here are some tips to verify a site’s authenticity:
Check the URL carefully – Look for slight misspellings or extra characters.
Verify through official sources – Always access district and school websites through official links.
Be cautious of unexpected emails or messages – If you receive a link from an unfamiliar source, double-check before clicking.
Report suspicious sites – If you suspect a fraudulent site impersonating our district, notify us immediately.
Requesting sensitive information- Our district will NEVER ask you for private or sensitive information over the phone or email.
We appreciate your support as we work to maintain a safe and secure online environment. If this happens again, we will keep you informed. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

Mrs. Lisa, from Smiles for a Lifetime Allendale, emphasizes the importance of healthy gums. Flossing cleans 40% of our tooth surfaces that brushes can't reach. She recommends adding floss to our daily routine to remove plaque. #FlossLikeABoss

Our partners at the C.A.R.E Project challenged our teachers to get creative as part of their professional development. Teachers were tasked with using the scraps of their original design to create a new project. Not only did this yield beautiful artwork, but the meaning behind each piece was equally special.

As part of Professional Development Day, some of our administrators and paraprofessionals discussed how we can improve our reactions. Mrs. Stacks emphasized that non-verbal cues, like facial expressions and body language, can influence how students perceive commands. This highlights the importance of self-reflection and managing our emotions to ensure we respond calmly and neutrally.

The Finance Department led a productive meeting with secretaries and treasurers to review protocols and discuss ways to improve efficiency and accuracy. We’re committed to improving our processes as part of our ongoing professional development. #TogetherWeCanDoThis
