On the behalf of the Equity and Excellence Program, we would like to invite parents and guardians to attend their Statewide Back to School Parent Leadership Conference on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This event will be held at the Brookland Banquet & Conference Center in West Columbia at 1066 Sunset Blvd. The goal is to equip parents with the knowledge and tools they need to be effective partners in their child(ren) education. The conference will cover a range of important topics, including IEPs, 504 plans, healthy living, mental health/stress management, financial literacy, education laws, and more. The tables turned when several of our teachers and administrators became learners for a day. They expanded their knowledge by attending our Summer Institute workshops in English, Science, or Math. The collaboration fostered and knowledge absorbed will be passed on to our students in the classroom this year.

Please note that there has been a delay in the initial distribution of the P-EBT cards for Summer 2023. The first set of cards is now scheduled to be sent out on September 8, 2023. Kindly anticipate a period of about 15 business days after this date for the cards to be delivered to your mailboxes.
For any address updates, we encourage you to visit the DSS portal by August 10, 2023. You can make necessary changes at: https://benefitsportal.dss.sc.gov/#/pebt/addressverification.
To be eligible for these benefits, students must have been enrolled and present in school for the final 20 days of the 2022-23 academic year. Additionally, they must have been approved for free or reduced meals or attended a CEP school.

The All in Allendale Festival will feature hands-on STEAM activities by students from the STEAM Academy, story corner by members of the Allendale-Fairfax Middle and High Beta Club, giveaways, a live music performance by the Allendale-Fairfax Concert Band, a performance by the Allendale-Fairfax Elementary Cheerleaders and a hot dog lunch while supplies last! Due to inclement weather, all activities will be held inside the Conference Center. Hope to see you there!
