We are excited to welcome Mr. Travis Lewis to Allendale County School District as our new Head Football Coach! Mr. Lewis is originally from Latta, South Carolina and played collegiate football at East Tennessee State University and the University of South Carolina. Mr. Lewis has been coaching at the varsity level for 14 years and he is committed to helping students grow both on and off the field. He is a lifelong learner who believes in building strong relationships and fostering a positive team culture. Lewis is guided by his personal motto,"People helping other people." His ultimate goal at Allendale-Fairfax is to love and support his players unconditionally, while shaping them into successful, contributing members of society.

Our Varsity Boys have officially qualified for the first round of playoffs, and the match is at 6:30 PM in the AFHS gymnasium. We will be facing off against the Hannah Pamplico Raiders! Tickets are only $8 and we want to see all our fans and community there to support our athletes! This is the biggest game this season, and you don't want to miss it! #TigerPride #TogetherWeCanDoThis

Dear Allendale Community of Learners,
We want to bring an important internet safety issue to your attention. A deceptive practice known as website impersonation or domain spoofing is being used by third parties to create look-alike websites with misleading domain names. Unfortunately, we recently discovered that our district has been a victim of this scheme.
Rest assured, we have already reported this issue to our domain registrar, who will review and take down the fraudulent page. Please be aware that allendalefes.com is NOT a website created, managed, or verified by our district. Our official district and school websites only end in "k12.sc.us." If you ever come across a website claiming to be ours but with a different ending, please proceed with caution.
To help protect yourself and our community from website impersonation, here are some tips to verify a site’s authenticity:
Check the URL carefully – Look for slight misspellings or extra characters.
Verify through official sources – Always access district and school websites through official links.
Be cautious of unexpected emails or messages – If you receive a link from an unfamiliar source, double-check before clicking.
Report suspicious sites – If you suspect a fraudulent site impersonating our district, notify us immediately.
Requesting sensitive information- Our district will NEVER ask you for private or sensitive information over the phone or email.
We appreciate your support as we work to maintain a safe and secure online environment. If this happens again, we will keep you informed. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

Mrs. Lisa, from Smiles for a Lifetime Allendale, emphasizes the importance of healthy gums. Flossing cleans 40% of our tooth surfaces that brushes can't reach. She recommends adding floss to our daily routine to remove plaque. #FlossLikeABoss

Our partners at the C.A.R.E Project challenged our teachers to get creative as part of their professional development. Teachers were tasked with using the scraps of their original design to create a new project. Not only did this yield beautiful artwork, but the meaning behind each piece was equally special.
As part of Professional Development Day, some of our administrators and paraprofessionals discussed how we can improve our reactions. Mrs. Stacks emphasized that non-verbal cues, like facial expressions and body language, can influence how students perceive commands. This highlights the importance of self-reflection and managing our emotions to ensure we respond calmly and neutrally.
The Finance Department led a productive meeting with secretaries and treasurers to review protocols and discuss ways to improve efficiency and accuracy. We’re committed to improving our processes as part of our ongoing professional development. #TogetherWeCanDoThis
Our Varsity Boys had a tough loss last night, but the journey isn't over! We're still heading to the first round of playoffs next week, so stay tuned!

Our Lady Tigers played hard last night against Bamberg. Although we didn't win, their dedication this season has earned them a spot in the first round of playoffs.
Last night, we celebrated our Winter Senior Athletes at Senior Night! Our seniors were escorted by their proud parents and families and met by their coaches, Principal Hall, and Superintendent Dr. Vallerie Cave. We realize how difficult it is to balance homework, practice, and games. So, we salute our student athletes for being dedicated to both their academic excellence and athletic performance.
After 5 years, Allendale County Schools proudly returned to the National Beta Club Convention this year! Our students competed in various events, including Creative Writing, Health & Physical Education, Language Arts, Math, and Poetry. This exciting opportunity was made possible by Superintendent Dr. Vallerie Cave, High School Principal Ms. Hall, and Director of Transportation Mr. Fields. Thank you for making this experience a reality!

Allendale County Schools recognizes the importance of Heart Health Month. We want to encourage you to monitor your stress levels and visit your doctor regularly to keep your heart in check. A healthy heart is key to a healthy lifestyle. Making sure you are consistent with your cardiac wellness, can increase the quality and longevity of your life.

Dear Parents and Families,
We have an exciting two weeks ahead of us, and we want to ensure that we're on the same page. Tomorrow, February 13th marks the end of our regular season and our last home game. We will also be honoring our Senior Athletes between the girls' and boys' games. February 14th is a Staff Development Day and there will be no school for students. Students, we hope you enjoy your day off and have a lovely Valentine's Day! February 17th and 18th are make-up days for the snowstorm that occurred in January. Please be advised that attendance is required for these days. February 19th is an Intercession Day for students who are eligible to attend. Parents, if your child is invited, you should have received a letter. February 20th-21st is Winter Break and there will be no school for staff and students. We look forward to seeing our students return to a normal schedule on February 24th.

Thank you Mrs. Lisa for coming to Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School to visit some of our classrooms! Lisa walked our students through the procedures of a dentist appointment to help the kids become more familiar with tools and less anxious about visits. She also demonstrated how to properly brush your teeth with the help of her special friend, Mr. Monkey. We are grateful for our partnership with Smiles for a Lifetime and we appreciate their help in spreading dental health awareness!
It's time for our community to show up and show out for our Allendale-Fairfax Middle High School Chorus Program! Our choir has the opportunity to attend New York in 2026, but we need your help! We have launched a fundraiser for travel and lodging fees. We are selling both donuts and certificates, courtesy of Krispy Kreme. You have until February 26th to purchase a dozen for $16 from one of our choral students. Orders will be delivered on March 3, 2025. Let's support our Singing Tigers and get them to New York! #TogetherWeCanDoThis

Our Varsity basketball teams played great last night against Royal Live Oak Academy. Our Lady Tigers won 39-3 and our boys finished their game 72-43. Big win for the Tigers as we end our season, let's finish strong!

In honor of Dental Awareness Month, we will be working along with Smiles for a Lifetime, to share content and resources to help you keep your smile in check. A healthy smile affects more than your appearance, your oral health affects the rest of your body. So it's important to
take good care of your teeth and gums. This month, we’re reminding our students and families about the importance of brushing, flossing, and regular dental checkups. Let’s build healthy habits that last a lifetime! Check out the Smiles for a Lifetime Newsletter and our social media channels for more tips and advice!
