Due to inclement weather, there will be no after-school programs or athletic practices on tomorrow, September 26th. Please arrange for your child's transportation immediately after school. Good evening Tiger Family!
We realize that homecoming is a memorable time in the Allendale-Fairfax Community. Due to the impending weather, we have had to make a difficult decision. We have decided to move our homecoming festivities to include homecoming parade, bonfire, game, and tailgating to October 10th and October 11th, 2024 where we will play the Ridgeland Jaguars. We ask for your understanding as we consider the safety of our students, staff, and community. We look forward to you joining us on October 10th and 11th and hope you keep the momentum until then. Remember, once a Tiger, always a Tiger!

We are so proud of Jaylen Outing for placing first in the National Night Out writing competition. Also, congratulations to Caylee Lofton and Rebekah Powers, for placing 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Thank you to the Allendale Police Department for sponsoring National Night Out and Allendale County Schools for donating the cash prizes.

September is Attendance Awareness Month and with rising truancies, we have to make a change. Superintendent Dr. Cave sat down with the Truancy Collaborative to address the issue and come up with new ways to resolve the problem. Remember, attendance directly correlates with grades and it is required by law for children aged 5-17 to attend school.

Please join us on Saturday, October 19th from 10am-1pm for a county wide Oral Health Day. This event is sponsored by Allendale County Schools and will be held in the Allendale-Fairfax High School Gymnasium. There will be free oral resources and screenings, so please come out! Oral health is often forgotten, but vital to our overall health.

Special congratulations to Mrs. Tinsley, an AFES teacher, and Santos Milan, a senior. Mrs. Tinsley deserves a special recognition for having a 93% and 100% passing rate respectively for her class. Milan earned a perfect score last year. However, this year he earned two perfect scores, making him a Golden Achiever for his continued excellence!

If you missed our September Board Meeting last night, we reviewed plans to convert Allendale Primary School into a community center. Also, parents who completed a two-day Parenting Partners workshop were recognized.

Our high school students and teachers had fun cosplaying as different eras for Ghost of Decades Day. They took inspiration from the 60s all the way up to the 2000s. #afhshoco24

If so, we will upload the meeting as soon as we are able. We apologize and will provide you with the soonest update available.

We have an exciting week ahead here at ACSD, so here is our Superintendent Dr. Vallerie Cave with some important announcements and reminders! https://fb.watch/uNl0S6eAqx/
